What to Film: Seller Video Shot List

Build trust. Show the truth. Sell faster.

Must-Have Shots

1. Tacking Up + Mounting

Horse tied in stable or yard

Calm tacking-up process

Rider mounting from block or ground

2. Flatwork (Arena or Field)

Walk, trot, canter both reins

Transitions and changes of rein

Circles, serpentines, bending

If applicable: lateral work or lengthening

3. Jumping (If relevant)

Show small fences and build up

Gridwork or single fences from both reins

Include refusals or knockdowns if relevant (buyers prefer honesty)

4. Hacking Footage

Out on roads or bridleway

Passing cars/dogs/other horses if possible

Hacking alone and in company (if applicable)

5. Handling + On the Ground

Picking up feet

Leading in-hand at walk and trot

Loading into a trailer/lorry

Standing quietly tied

Top Tips:

Film in landscape. Don’t crop out legs or feet!

Keep it calm. No dramatic music or fast edits.

Label the clips or edit into one clear video
